Healthy on the go snack pack for less !

We love grapes ! Have you ever bought the prepackaged grape snacks for your kids? I have not, some of the ones I've seen round out to about $1.00 a pack. For less than $4.00 we were able to make 14 snack packs.

First we went to Aldi and purchased a 2 lb. bag each of red and green grapes.
Next, take them all off the stems and rinse well in a colander. They do not go bad as fast this way even if you don't want to pack them into smaller packs.
We put 10 green grapes and 12-14 red grapes in a snack size zipper bag for each pack in this batch. (the green ones are larger).
And voilà!
14 easy, yummy and healthy grape snack packs for less. (no preservatives or additives) The amount added to each bag can be changed to create even more packs if your child will not eat or does not want that many.
We just pop this container in the fridge and they are ready to go in a second ! YUM !

No grapes were harmed in the making of this blog although some may have been consumed.

Desaange Paris

Disclaimer: I received this product for free from Influenster to try and review, all opinions are my own.

I have super long hair, I don't blow dry, color, perm, flat iron or curl it. I also don't have regular haircuts like a lot of people do. I actually think it was 1.5 years ago and I donated it to Locks of Love. I may be doing this again very soon.
Using this product makes me feel like I just walked out of a salon and it smells sooo good ! I would definitely suggest this to others and I love the replenishing oil giving my hair extra shine and silky smoothness !

Food Color Stepping Stones

We started off with just a basic little kit we got at Walmart but decided to change it up. We wanted to add color to the mix but the directions say to put water in the mold then add the plaster. The color didn't really want to mix in like that so we poured that into a bowl that we planned on recycling anyway and mixed a little bit of blue in the plaster. That wasn't quite enough for us so we put a few drops in the middle of the star, then poured the rest of the mix into the mold. We love how it turned out marble looking. Our plan is to make a lot of them in different colors, apply a clear coat and place them around the above ground pool. I will add that pic to this post later but for now here's the first one.

Mucinex Multi-Symptom Cold

This product is intended for children ages 4-12 years. Jeremy tried Mucinex Multi-Symptom Cold today. This was provided to us for free to try and review. He is not a great medicine taker but he actually took it without fighting and did not freak out after. I can't say he LOVED it but for him this is a huge plus for us both. And it came just when something was needed.

Our Disney Side Valentine's Day Celebration !!!

Show Your Disney Side
For Valentine's Day this year we hosted a Disney Side @ Home Celebration. We were selected by Mom Select to recieve these items for free in order to host our party, all opinions are my own.
Opening the box! Thank you Disney Parks, Mom Select and BSM Media for giving us the magical experience !

As per one of my previous posts, we made cinnamon applesauce Mickey ornaments (not only for Christmas). The house smelled amazing and they were cute little tags for the goody bags. Glitter glue worked perfectly!

We then started getting ready by cutting out the smiles, diamond treat boxes and Mickey banner and got the Disney Trivia cards ready.

The snack table was ready, Brothers-All-Natural-AppleCrisps and Utz Mickey and Minnie Valentine Pretzels and of course our Disney Clubhouse Friends came to hang out with us. We also cut out Mickey cheese and ham shapes with that awesome little cookie cutter I ordered off eBay and Mickey pizza. The cute little Minnie and Daisy snack boxes were perfect for Disney Princess and Tinkerbell fruit snacks.

Next we started getting our Duff Goldman Tie-Dye cupcakes ready. And my Twitter pics got reposted by DUFF GOLDMAN! What an awesome guy, he really pays attention to his fans. They were AWESOME and the kids had a blast  decorating them !

Brothers-All-Natural provided our party with Disney Fruit Crisps and the kids went crazy for them, thank you so much. All the moms here love the fact that there is absolutely nothing added, just freeze-dried Fuji apples. They are healthy and a convenient snack to keep in the bag. We had the Fuji apples but they come in a variety, I can't wait to try the cinnamon apple ones. These are also yummy and healthy for mommy. 😊
If you visit and order from their site you can save! Just use the code DisneyParty15 at checkout and get a 15% discount http://www.brothersallnatural.com/fuji-apple-fruit-crisps/

And for another healthy snack, who do you call? Oh Foodles !!
CrunchPak provided us with some coupons for some more healthy snacks. Walmart would only allow me to use 1 coupon so I purchased a few extra and gave the coupons in goody bags. My little man obviously loves these! I think he ate 2 because he doesn't like cupcakes very much.

We used our Mickey cake pan also included in our package for a yummy Rice Krispie treat and a tiny tie-dye Mickey with a little pan I had forgotten I had.

Playing Pin the Smile on Mickey !

Disney Side Bingo!

Making their Mickey sandwiches and decorating their cupcakes.

We had a Mickey scene setter from a previous birthday party that came in handy and made coloring books with Disney stamps and stickers. Overall, the kids had a blast ! Can't wait to party again. For more awesome ideas visit http://www.disneysidecelebrations.com you don't have to be "chosen" to show your DisneySide !

We are having a party on Valentine's Day because it's also my birthday and we are hosting a #Disney Side @ Home Celebration. I can't wait to celebrate with the family as we just don't see each other often enough.

We are going to have so much fun making this mix into cupcakes with a Mickey Mouse cupcake liner. I hope they turn out as awesome looking as the picture on the box. We are deciding on the color combo we want to create, then each child at the party will decorate their own cupcake with icing and sprinkles of their choice. We may have to get some more mixes, the Duff Goldman Tie-Dye cake mix comes in a variety of looks. More pics to come.

Planning our #DisneySide Celebration

Who says that cinnamon decorations are only for Christmas? Not I said the fly. We decided as one of the party treats we would make Mickey Mouse shaped cinnamon ornaments. My thought is maybe for the moms to put them in their car. My house smells sooooo good.
Step 1) 1.5 cups of cinnamon.
Step 2)  1 cup applesauce (we used the cinnamon kind because it's what we like to eat).
Step 3) Mix well, you may need to get your hands dirty.
Step 4) roll out to about 1/4" between 2 sheets of wax paper.
Step 5) cut your desired shapes and carefully move them to your parchment lined pan. Poke hole with a lollipop stick or straw before baking.
Step 6) Bake at 200 degrees for about 1 1/2 to 2 hours. They should be rock hard, if they're not allow them to stay in pan overnight. (We also sprinkled with a little red glitter, we are doing the party on Valentine's Day)
Then voila, you are done and have super cute Mickeys that make the room smell wonderful.
And to make them even cuter? Glitter glue !

Fun and scooter boards

I have a special needs little boy but you would never know it by his actions. He was only 3 years old in this picture and he has NO FEAR. We went to the skate park with other kids that have spina bifida (he has something similar but more rare called caudal regression syndrome) One of his friends had a scooter board they let him try because he's not really steady enough for skates or a regular skateboard (he would not try his stand up scooter) and he took off. We stayed for about 2 hours and he went down every ramp, some just sliding without the board.
Never let a disability cloud your judgement of what someone is capable of. This little guy and so many others like him should never have been able to walk but as you can see he soars!! ALWAYS wear safety gear ! to learn a little more about him visit http://facebook.com/jeremysjourneywithcrs or http://isacra.org

Waiting for the next time
